Purpose of Collection

Your organisation is responsible for its own handling of personal information and for notifying its users, guests and meeting participants about how it uses Berst.io.

If you are an administrator or meeting organiser, you are responsible for ensuring that users and guests are invited appropriately and that any required notices or consents are provided.

Recordings and Transcriptions

Berst.io may offer features that allow meetings to be recorded, transcribed, stored, displayed, downloaded or shared.

Recordings and transcriptions may contain Personal Information. They may also contain Sensitive Information depending on what is discussed during a meeting.

Where recording or transcription features are enabled, we may collect and process meeting content, participant details, meeting names, timestamps, recording files, transcription files, download links, access logs and related metadata.

Customers, administrators and meeting organisers are responsible for notifying participants and obtaining any consents required by law before recording, transcribing or sharing meeting content.

Recordings and transcriptions may be stored temporarily and deleted after the applicable retention period. Users should download any files they need before they expire or are deleted.

Transcriptions may not always be complete, accurate or error-free.

Sensitive Information

Sensitive Information includes information or an opinion about an individual's racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, membership of a political association, religious or philosophical beliefs, membership of a trade union or other professional body, criminal record, health information, biometric information or other information treated as sensitive under applicable privacy law.
